Revamping of awards – As announced in August 2018, the Board agreed to substantially revamp the awards made at Presentation Night. It was agreed that:
- A presentation will be made to the best player in each category (Partially, A, B and totally blind), as judged by the Victorian State selectors or other such Committee the Board may convene.
- Winners of respective batting and bowling averages, highest number of wickets or runs etc. will be announced, however, no trophy or medal will be awarded.
- The runners’ up medal for the grand final will no longer be awarded.
- The Max Walker and Paul Carlson awards will be retained.
