Victorian Blind Cricket State Squad now part Cricket Victoria

In a historic landmark decision, the Board of Cricket Victoria has
determined that Cricket Victoria will assume full responsibility for all
State Disability Squads. As such, with immediate effect, the transition for both the preparation and management of the Victorian Blind Cricket State Squad from the Victorian Blind Cricket Association to Cricket Victoria for the 2018 NCIC and beyond is currently in progress. Already Cricket Victoria has arranged a practice match for our Victorian Squad for Sunday 15th October against a Victoria Police XI. This practice match will be played on a first class ground and be hosted by Premier Cricket Club, Carlton, at their grounds at Princes Park.

The agreement between the VBCA and CV is one of a mutual cooperative nature where each organisation will bring to the table their particular strengths and expertise, which when combined with each organizations respective resources, will ensure that Victoria’s blind cricketers are the best they can possibly be. This historic and landmark partnership signifies a new chapter with an exciting future for Victorian Blind Cricket.
