Cricket Victoria Establishes Victorian Blind Cricket State Training Squad

The Victorian Blind Cricket Association are pleased to announce that under a landmark agreement with Cricket Victoria the establishment a Victorian Training Squad from which the 14 person State squad will be selected. The establishment of an extended training squad that will engage in the same training opportunities as the State Squad will have many benefits including providing succession plans for the current State Squad as well as improved skill development for players in the Victorian Domestic Blind Cricket Competition.

Members of the training squad will have access to:

  • The Victorian Blind Squad Coaching Team
  • Participation in all training and practice sessions
  • Individual skill level assessment and development plans
  • Access to Cricket Victoria’s Athlete Management System
  • Individual performance reviews enabling input from High Performance Coaching Staff for performance improvement

This is an amazing and exciting development for Victorian Blind Cricketers and will deliver positive benefits to both grass roots and State Representative cricket alike.
