The Victorian Blind Cricket Association (VBCA) understands the importance of providing accessibility information about our playing venues. We will work hard to ensure our venues are safe and accessible to everyone. If you need additional assistance to access our venues, find anything missing, would like to suggest improvements, or have questions please contact us.

Location

Cricket Victoria - CitiPower Centre - Junction Oval

Address: Lakeside Drive, St Kilda VIC 3182.

The CitiPower Centre at Junction Oval is the home of Cricket Victoria headquarter with the state-of-the-art facility is a year-round elite training base  including for the Victorian Blind Cricket team.

How to get there

Cricket Victoria strongly recommends patrons use public transport to access the venue via Gate 2 – View map below.

Public Transport
Train:  Sandringham Line

Get off at Windsor Station. It is a 15-20-minute walk from the station to Junction Oval via Peel Street..

Tram - Route 16
The route 16 tram runs along Fitzroy Street, with the Princes Street / Fitzroy Street stop just a 3-minute walk from Junction Oval. Jump on at either Flinders Street station and travel towards St Kilda, or Balaclava station on the Sandringham line and travel towards the city.

 

Tram - Route 96
The route 96 light rail tram can also be caught from the city, travelling pass Southern Cross train station towards St Kilda. Alight at the Canterbury Rd / Fitzroy Street stop, just 5 minutes’ walk from Junction Oval.


Pick up / Drop off zone - Uber or Taxi

The best pick-up / drop-off point is at Gate 2 on Lakeside Drive.
 

Parking

Very limited on-street parking will be available around the Fitzroy Street / Lakeside Drive / Junction Oval Precinct. Please adhere to street signs for parking costs.

Fawkner Park

Address: 65 Toorak Rd West, South Yarra.

The official designation for the VBCA Ground at Fawkner Park is Fawkner Park Cricket Turf 1. The ground is adjacent to Lawn Number 17. The ground and adjacent lawn are shown in the image below (PDF Version).

How to get there 
Address: 65 Toorak Rd West, South Yarra. This is the address of the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre, which is located approximately 250m north of the VBCA Ground.

Once you arrive at the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre (see various transport modes below) make your way to the southern end of the car park. From here, an asphalt path will take you approximately 250m to a six-way intersection. The VBCA Ground and Lawn Number 17 are located adjacent (western side) of this intersection.

Public Transport
Train: The closest station is South Yarra Railway Station, serviced by the Frankston, Pakenham, and Sandringham lines (approximately 10 minute train ride from Flinders Street Station). From South Yarra Railway Station, it is a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute tram ride west along Toorak Rd to the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre.

Tram: The number 5, 58, 64, and 67 trams run down Toorak Rd West directly past the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre. The nearest tram stop to the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre is Stop 123 (Fawkner Park/Toorak Rd). It is a 120m (2-minute) walk west along Toorak Rd to the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre.

Bus: The nearest bus stop to Fawkner Park Tennis Centre is Albion St / Punt Rd (South Yarra). The number 246 and 605 buses will get you there. It’s a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to Fawkner Park Tennis Centre.

Pick up / Drop off zone - Uber or Taxi
The closest drop-off / pick-up zone is the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre. The safest and most convenient drop-off / pick-up location at the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre is at the southern end of the car park, where there is a covered area with seats.

Parking
There is a small car park at the Fawkner Park Tennis Centre (approximately 30 spaces). Otherwise, there is limited car parking around Fawkner Park.

Kooyong (Vision Australia) - Charlie Bradley Pavilion

Address: 454 Glenferrie Road, Kooyong.

The Charlie Bradley Pavilion is located behind (east of) the Vision Australia building on Glenferrie Road, Kooyong. The easiest way to access the pavilion (and ovals) is via Talbot Crescent where there is a side-entrance to Vision Australia.

The side-entrance to Vision Australia is directly adjacent (east) of 5 Talbot Crescent. There are signs at the side-entrance that direct you to the Charlie Bradley Pavilion. Enter the side-entrance, walking north alongside 5 Talbot Crescent, then slight right to follow the footpath around the outside of the Vision Australia building. After walking for approximately 50m the footpath will arrive at the western oval,. Continue east along the footpath to the Charlie Bradley Pavilion (a further 50m).

 

How to get there 

Address: 454 Glenferrie Road, Kooyong. This is the official address of Vision Australia.

 

Using this address will take you to the main entrance of Vision Australia. We recommend using 5 Talbot Crescent Kooyong as a destination address in navigation apps (e.g. Google Maps) as this will guide you directly to the side-entrance of Vision Australia.

Public Transport
Train: Kooyong Railway Station, on the Glen Waverly Line, is a three minute walk from the Charlie Bradley Pavilion. Exit the station, using the pedestrian crossing to cross Talbot Crescent and arrive at the side-entrance to Vision Australia.

Tram: The number 16 tram runs along Glenferrie Road.
If you are travelling south (into the city) get off at Stop 65 (Kooyong Railway Station), then walk east along Talbot Crescent for approximately 50m to the side-entrance of Vision Australia.


If you are travelling north (away from the city) get off at Stop 65 (Waara St / Glenferrie Rd), then cross Glenferrie Road (at the traffic lights) and walk north to Talbot Crescent (just over the railway line). Cross Talbot Crescent and then walk east along Talbot Crescent for approximately 50m to the side-entrance of Vision Australia.

Pick up / Drop off zone - Uber or Taxi

The best pick-up / drop-off point is 5 Talbot Crescent, Kooyong. This address is directly adjacent (west) of the side-entrance to Vision Australia. It is also directly adjacent to the pedestrian crossing from Kooyong Station.
 

Parking

There is limited parking in Talbot Crescent. There is a larger car park at Vision Australia (enter from Glenferrie Road).
